Job summary

The ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world. The role at ALS Laboratories (UK) Ltd in Coventry offers a full-time, permanent position working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00, with an annual salary of £25,878.

Key duties include packing samples, preparing glassware, processing returns and waste, and keeping a safe, tidy workspace. Strong IT skills (Excel/Outlook), good communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 GCSEs including English and Maths are desirable.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to learn internal systems.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently to tight deadlines.
• Strong team-working skills with a positive and flexible attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Awareness of health and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

About the Position

The Day to Day

• Packing samples and containers for distribution to customers and subcontractors via courier services
• Washing and preparing glassware for reuse
• Processing returned items and waste materials for recycling or disposal
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times
• Following correct storage procedures and manual handling techniques
• Adhering to Health & Safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
• Supporting compliance with ISO 17025 and the company quality management system
• Reporting any incidents or near misses to the line manager promptly

The Essentials

• 3 GCSEs including English and Maths are desirable
