Murphy is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to join our team. You will oversee a 15-vehicle fleet, ensuring drivers adhere to hours, tachographs, and speed limits, while maintaining vehicles and keeping records.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, training development, and health & safety reporting. The ideal candidate will have logistics experience, strong knowledge of transport regulations, and the ability to lead people.

Competenze

• Must have previous logistics experience.
• Extensive knowledge of transport regulations.
• Experience in a construction/engineering or similar background beneficial.
• Literate and numerate; proficient with office software.

Mansioni

• Manage a 15-vehicle fleet and ensure compliance with drivers’ hours and tachograph rules.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, PMIs and defect remediation; manage defects for vehicles and drivers.
• Maintain accurate records for at least 15 months; ensure ADR compliance.
• Monitor OCRS scores and investigate road-side checks by DVSA.
• Utilise company vehicle tracker system to manage HGV drivers.
• Keep up to date with transport legislation; attend relevant training.
• Plan driver CPC training and development; lead talent progression.
• Report Health & Safety incidents in line with Group expectations.

A day in the life of a Murphy Logistics Supervisor

• Management of a 15-vehicle fleet
• Ensure that drivers comply with drivers’ hours and tachograph rules and with speed limits.
• Ensure that vehicles are maintained, including PMIs and defects remedied
• Management of vehicle and driver defects
• Ensure all records are accurate and kept for a period of no less than 15 months.
• Ensure compliance with ADR Regulations
• Monitor the DVSA Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS) system
• Investigate all road-side checks by DVSA
• Utilise the company vehicle tracker system for the control of HGV Drivers.
• Keep up to date with changes to transport legislation, attending relevant training as required.
• Plan the development of HGV drivers through periodic driver CPC training.
• Ensure reporting of Health & Safety incidents in line with Group expectations.
