Job summary

Job Advert in Huddersfield is seeking a Planning Coordinator to join a busy, office-based planning team. The role focuses on coordinating customer orders and deliveries to meet service levels while optimising resources.

You will take responsibility for day-to-day planning, liaising with customers, drivers and control teams, monitoring deliveries and re-planning where required to maximise utilisation and service.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer orders, delivery schedules and stock levels to meet agreed service requirements.
• Liaise with customers, resource teams and control teams to effectively match supply with demand.
• Monitor and replan deliveries where required, maximising driver and vehicle utilisation.
• Ensure customer-specific requirements, delivery instructions and equipment requirements are met.
• Identify and escalation potential delivery issues, low-stock situations and service risks, providing practical solutions.
• Plan resources cost-effectively while ensuring safe, compliant vehicle loading and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate records, volumes and management information while supporting customer service and operational KPIs.
