Job summary

Alloyed Limited is seeking a hands-on Logistics Operative to support fast-paced operations. Based at the Harwell campus, you will handle goods-in/out, packing, dispatching and inventory, while collaborating with engineering and operations teams. There may be occasional travel to other Oxfordshire sites for training.

This temporary-to-permanent role starts on a fixed-term basis with potential progression. Training will be provided where required.

Qualifications

• Proven logistics/warehousing experience is required.
• Experience using an ERP system for goods-in processes.
• Valid forklift truck licence is essential.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in logistics.

Responsibilities

• Keep goods-in/out area organised and support 5S improvements.
• Handle goods-in deliveries and route to the correct recipient promptly.
• Pack products per specifications and maintain traceability paperwork.
• Develop new packing specs and pack items without a spec safely.
• Arrange shipments with required paperwork and labels.
• Monitor inventory in goods-out and ensure stock of packing materials.
• Communicate shipment status with stakeholders across teams.
• Oversee forklift maintenance with the leasing company and checks.
• Manage waste collection following procedures.
• Maintain health and safety standards in the goods area.
