Job summary

Sodexo invites applications for a Logistics Operative at a production site in Macclesfield (SK10 2NA). The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00. The hourly rate is £14.26.

You will load/unload deliveries, manage parcels with the on-site system, and drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle with safety checks. Applicants should have a full UK driving licence, be over 25 for insurance, and be comfortable with basic IT.

Qualifications

• Full Manual UK Driving Licence is required.
• Must be over 25 due to insurance purposes.
• Willing to be trained on forklift operations on joining.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries.
• Process parcels on the on-site delivery tracking system.
• Distribute and collect deliveries on site.
• Drive 3.5 tonne vehicles on site.
• Perform daily vehicle checks.
• Use IT systems to manage deliveries and records.

What you'll do:

• Loading and Unloading deliveries

• Processing parcels onto on site delivery tracking system

• Use of forklift for unloading palletised deliveries. If you do not hold a forklift license, you must be prepared to undertake training once in post (this will be paid for by the company)

• Distributing and collecting deliveries on site

• Daily vehicle checks

What you'll bring:

• Full Manual UK Driving License

• Comfortable with IT (eg Basic Excel Use, Word, Emails, inputting of vehicle checks information)

• Be willing to be trained on use of Forklift Truck

• Good verbal and written communications skills
