Job summary

Sodexo in Macclesfield, SK10 2NA, is seeking a Logistics operative to join a busy facility. This permanent full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00, at £14.26 per hour.

You will load/unload deliveries, process parcels on the on-site tracking system, and drive 3.5 tonne vehicles on site. You may train on forklift use, must have a full manual UK driving licence and be comfortable with IT.

Qualifications

• Full Manual UK Driving License is required.
• Comfortable with IT (basic Excel/Word/Email usage).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Processing parcels onto on-site delivery tracking system.
• Use of forklift for unloading palletised deliveries (training provided).
• Distributing and collecting deliveries on site.
• Driving 3.5 tonne vehicles on site.
• Use of IT systems.
• Picking of orders from Stores.
• Daily vehicle checks.

What you'll do:

• Loading and Unloading deliveries
• Processing parcels onto on site delivery tracking system
• Use of forklift for unloading palletised deliveries. If you do not hold a forklift license, you must be prepared to undertake training once in post (this will be paid for by the company)
• Distributing and collecting deliveries on site
• Driving 3.5 tonne vehicles on site
• Use of IT systems
• Picking of orders from Stores
• Daily vehicle checks

What you'll bring:

• Full Manual UK Driving License
• Must be over 25 due to insurance purposes
• Comfortable with IT (eg Basic Excel Use, Word, Emails, inputting of vehicle checks information)
• Be willing to be trained on use of Forklift Truck
• Good verbal and written communications skills
