Job summary

Freight Personnel in Luton is seeking a full-time Logistics Operations Controller to monitor vehicle routes, manage alerts, and coordinate with clients and suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires experience in transport/logistics, good geographic awareness, and strong attention to detail with solid MS Office skills. You will work a shift pattern across 7am-8pm, with a salary of £35,000–£37,000 plus a performance bonus, pension and 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Transport/Logistics sector and working with parcels or courier operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and compliance while maintaining service levels.
• Strong geographical awareness and ability to plan routes efficiently.
• Solid communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Use mapping/route tracking to monitor service levels against daily plans.
• Query deviations in route plans and replan where needed.
• Escalate risks and inform clients of updated collection times.
• Monitor and manage high-risk routes with more frequent checks.
• Coordinate collections, deliveries and consumables with suppliers.
