Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join a growing team delivering large-scale data centre and mission-critical construction projects in Blyth.

In this site-based role you will oversee day-to-day logistics operations, coordinating materials, deliveries, storage areas and site personnel safely and efficiently, working with subcontractors, suppliers and the project management team to keep the operation organised and on track.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a logistics or site supervision role, ideally within construction.
• Minimum of one year's experience in a similar position.
• Strong leadership with experience managing operatives or site teams.
• Knowledge of delivery coordination, material handling, storage management and subcontractor liaison.
• Understanding of construction site health and safety requirements.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A third-level qualification in engineering or construction would be advantageous; strong trades background will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage the site compound, including storage areas and material allocation.
• Schedule and coordinate deliveries to ensure materials arrive safely and on time.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers regarding delivery requirements, access arrangements and off-site storage.
• Attend pre-start meetings to communicate site logistics procedures, storage limitations and delivery booking processes.
• Promote a just-in-time delivery approach to minimise congestion and maximise available storage space.
• Ensure loading and unloading activities are carried out safely within designated areas.
• Prevent congestion and obstructions on site access roads.
• Supervise site operatives, ensuring health and safety procedures and expected working standards are maintained.
• Monitor labour allocation, maintain records and prepare work reports.
• Support the wider project team in maintaining an organised and efficient site operation.
