Job summary

Michael Page Finance seeks an FP&A Manager to lead financial support for logistics and supply chain, covering over GBP400M P&L and capex spend in Nottingham. You will be a strategic financial advisor to operations, driving cost-efficiency and data-driven decision making across freight, warehousing, and distribution networks.

You will own budgeting, forecasting, ROI analyses, and month-end close collaboration with accounting, partnering with procurement to assess contracts and pricing

Qualifications

• Qualified or QBE Finance Manager with experience in supporting Logistics / Supply Chain operations, strong FP&A skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Financial Performance Analysis: Monitor KPIs (cost-per-unit, freight spend, warehousing efficiency) and explain variance drivers to operational leaders.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for all logistics and supply chain cost centres.
• Cost Optimisation & ROI: Identify cost-saving opportunities, network optimisations, and ROI models for capex like warehouse automation or fleet upgrades.
• Carrier & Vendor Financial Management: Review logistics contracts and analyze pricing structures and impacts of rate changes.
• Month-End Close Support: Assist with accruals, journal entries and P&L reviews for logistics operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with supply chain managers, warehouse supervisors, and procurement teams.
