Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a newly created Finance Business Partner role based in Preston. You will work closely with the Purchasing team to optimise product cost, drive continuous improvements and provide insightful analysis on forecasted cost movements.

You will partner with supply chain functions to meet targets, forecast variances and standardise reporting across the global team, while developing processes and controls to improve efficiency in material pricing.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience ideally within a costing environment.
• High level of commercial, analytical and numeric skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong influencing skills.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the purchasing and procurement activities within the business.
• Partner with supply chain functions to meet performance targets and drive process improvements in cost and efficiency.
• Forecasting and reporting on purchase price variances.
• Collaborate with the global team to standardise reporting and forecast assumptions across the supply base.
• Develop processes, controls and use of technology to improve material purchase pricing.
