Job summary

Arvato is a leading global 3PL service provider in supply chain management and e-commerce. You will join a dynamic team at UK locations including Corby, Hams Hall, Kings Norton and East Midlands Gateway as a Logistics Engineer.

The role involves developing end-to-end intralogistics concepts, advising stakeholders on tailored logistics and automation solutions, and conducting data-driven space planning and warehouse design. Travel within the UK and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration (Logistics focus), or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in logistics and material flow planning, warehouse design, intralogistics automation, and project delivery (greenfield, brownfield, or optimisation projects).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement end-to-end intralogistics concepts for national and international customers.
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders, providing tailor-made logistics and automation solutions.
  • Conduct structural data analysis, material flow and space planning, and design warehouse layouts and automated systems.
  • Support project implementation across logistics locations in the UK, including supplier selection, project coordination, and budget control.
  • Perform productivity and workforce calculations (MOST technique desirable).
  • Collaborate with a global team of logistics planners and industrial engineers, using data analysis, simulation and visualisation tools.
  • Work closely with contractors and partners (e.g. BSR, PD, PC, Real Estate).

Location: East Midlands Gateway

Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to workdomestically and internationally
  • Excellent analytical capability, with anindependent but collaborative working styleand a strong customer focus
  • Understanding ofproject management methodologies(e.g. PRINCE2, APM, or similar)
  • Flexibility to travel within theUK Golden Triangleand internationally as required
