Job summary

Arvato is a global 3PL provider seeking a Logistics Engineer to develop end-to-end intralogistics concepts for national and international customers. You will operate across UK locations including Corby, Hams Hall, Kings Norton and East Midlands Gateway, driving automation and data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration (Logistics focus) or similar.
  • Several years of experience in logistics, material flow planning and intralogistics automation.
  • Strong organisational and multi-stakeholder project management skills.
  • Ability to identify, communicate and mitigate risks with contingency planning.
  • Willingness to work domestically and internationally; strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement end-to-end intralogistics concepts for national and international customers.
  • Advise stakeholders with tailor-made logistics and automation solutions.
  • Conduct structural data analysis, material flow and space planning; design warehouse layouts and automated systems.
  • Support project implementation across UK locations (supplier selection, coordination, budgeting).
  • Perform productivity and workforce calculations (MOST technique desirable).
  • Collaborate with a global team using data analysis, simulation and visualisation tools.
  • Work with contractors and partners (e.g. BSR, PD, PC, Real Estate).

Location: East Midlands Gateway

Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday

In the position of Logistics Engineer you will hit the ground running at our locations inUK, Corby, Hams Hall, Kings Norton and East Midlands Gateway, become an innovative thought leader for our customers, and support our e-commerce, healthcare, and tech industries with unique intralogistics solutions and concepts with a high degree of automation.   • Develop and implementend-to-end intralogistics conceptsfor national and international customers
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders, providingtailor‑made logistics and automation solutions
  • Conductstructural data analysis, material flow and space planning, and designwarehouse layouts and automated systems
  • Support project implementation across logistics locations across the UK, including:
    • Supplier selection
    • Project coordination and management
    • Budget control and cost tracking
  • Performproductivity and workforce requirement calculations(experience with theMOST techniqueis desirable)
  • Collaborate with aglobal team of logistics planners and industrial engineers, using modern tools fordata analysis, simulation, and visualisation
  • Work closely withcontractors and partners(e.g. BSR, PD, PC, Real Estate)
Qualifications
  • Degree inLogistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration (Logistics focus), or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience inlogistics and material flow planning, warehouse design, intralogistics automation, and project delivery (greenfield, brownfield, or optimisation projects)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to managecomplex, multi‑stakeholder projects
  • Proven ability toidentify, communicate, and mitigate risks, including contingency planning
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to workdomestically and internationally
  • Excellent analytical capability, with anindependent but collaborative working styleand a strong customer focus
  • Understanding ofproject management methodologies(e.g. PRINCE2, APM, or similar)
  • Flexibility to travel within theUK Golden Triangleand internationally as required
