Job summary

Ground Control Limited is seeking a reliable Driver / Store Person in Dartford to support depot and site teams with transport, storage and distribution of equipment and materials. The role combines driving, logistics, stock management and equipment handling to ensure site teams have what they need, when they need it.

You will drive to project sites, load and unload safely, maintain stock records and assist with site mobilisation and demobilisation.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with a clean record.
• Experience in driving, stores, logistics or similar hands-on role.
• Experience handling and transporting equipment and materials safely.
• Good organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate stock and delivery records.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to deliver tools, equipment and materials to project sites.
• Safely load and unload deliveries using appropriate manual handling techniques and forklifts where required.
• Complete vehicle pre- and post-use checks and report any defects.
• Receive, check and record deliveries against purchase orders, maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out regular inventory checks.
• Organise, store and maintain tools, materials and equipment safely and efficiently at the depot.
• Check, clean and store equipment returned from site, carrying out basic maintenance where required.
• Support site mobilisation and demobilisation, including coordinating equipment and materials and helping set up or dismantle temporary site stores.
• Work closely with site teams to understand and respond to equipment and material requirements, including arranging urgent deliveries when needed.
• Maintain clean, safe and organised depot, vehicle and storage areas.
• Follow all company HSE, manual handling and transport requirements.
