Confidential in Hull is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join its busy operations team. The role focuses on keeping freight movements on track from start to finish, coordinating with internal departments and ensuring timely, compliant movement.

Ideal candidates will have logistics or freight experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage live operational data in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, on-site position with rotating hours to cover operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or freight, transport coordination or similar operational environment
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to manage live operational information accurately and efficiently
• Comfortable using internal systems and updating records in real time
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands
• Good communication with a team-focused approach
• Exposure to import/export activity or freight forwarding is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily freight activity to meet customer and operational requirements
• Keep internal systems updated with accurate movement information and shipment status
• Prepare vehicle and load activity in advance to avoid site access issues
• Check all operational paperwork and chase outstanding items before movement
• Collaborate with other teams to keep cargo flowing efficiently
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve issues affecting service or timing
• Arrange additional operational support as needed
• Maintain clear records across shipment references and release info
• Support service performance to help meet deadlines
