A leading Tier 1 Contractor is seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join the project delivery team on a major hyperscale data centre development in Blyth, Northumberland.
The Logistics Coordinator will support the planning and coordination of site deliveries, materials, traffic movements, storage areas, access routes and logistics documentation. Working closely with the Logistics Manager, construction team, subcontractors, suppliers and security personnel, you will help maintain a safe, efficient and well‑controlled construction site.

Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator
Site Logistics Coordination
- Support the implementation of the project logistics plan throughout the construction programme.
- Coordinate daily logistics activities, including deliveries, collections, vehicle movements and material distribution.
- Maintain delivery schedules and ensure planned deliveries align with construction activities and available storage capacity.
- Monitor site access routes, loading areas, unloading zones and material storage locations.
- Assist with coordinating cranes, forklifts, telehandlers and other material‑handling equipment.

- Help coordinate temporary facilities, welfare areas, hoarding, signage and pedestrian routes.

Delivery Management
- Operate and maintain the project delivery management and booking system.

Administration and Reporting

- Maintain up‑to‑date contact details for suppliers, subcontractors and transport providers.

Essential Qualifications and Experience of the Logistics Coordinator
- Qualification in Logistics, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in a Logistics Coordinator, Site Coordinator, Materials Coordinator or similar position.
- Experience supporting logistics operations on a construction, engineering or industrial project.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliveries and priorities.
- Understanding of site delivery procedures, material handling and traffic management.
- Good knowledge of construction health and safety requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Competence using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, schedules and logistics reports.
- Willingness to work in a site‑based environment in Blyth.

Desirable Experience
