Job summary

Evergreen Talent Group is seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Blyth, Northumberland. You will support site deliveries, materials movement and traffic management, working alongside Logistics Manager, engineers, subcontractors and security to keep the site safe and efficient.

This role offers progression to Senior Logistics Coordinator or Site Logistics Manager, with a clear development path across a range of UK projects.

Qualifications

Qualification in logistics, construction management, supply chain management, engineering or related field.
Experience supporting logistics operations on construction/engineering/industrial projects.
Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to manage multiple deliveries.

Responsibilities

Support the implementation of the project logistics plan throughout the construction programme.
Coordinate daily logistics activities, including deliveries, collections, vehicle movements and material distribution.
Maintain delivery schedules and ensure planned deliveries align with construction activities and storage capacity.
Monitor site access routes, loading areas, unloading zones and material storage locations.
Assist with coordinating cranes, forklifts, telehandlers and other material-handling equipment.
Ensure designated logistics routes and emergency access points remain clear.
Help coordinate temporary facilities, welfare areas, hoarding and signage.
Identify potential logistics constraints and elevate issues to the Logistics Manager.
Operate and maintain the project delivery management and booking system.
Review delivery requests and allocate suitable delivery times in accordance with site capacity.
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and package managers to confirm delivery requirements.
Communicate delivery instructions, site rules, access arrangements and unloading requirements.
Monitor delivery performance and address late or unplanned deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections and rejected materials.
Support abnormal loads and specialist equipment deliveries.
Coordinate the receipt, inspection, allocation and distribution of construction materials.
Plan material storage requirements with subcontractors and package teams.
Maintain records of materials received, stored and transferred.
Ensure safe storage and compliance with manufacturer requirements.
Monitor storage areas to prevent congestion or loss.
Support just-in-time delivery strategies to minimise site storage.
