Overview

Consortium are representing a valued client, who are seeking an experienced Logistics Controller. As a Logistics Controller, you’ll be an integral part of the Container Operations Team, working closely with internal teams to ensure the seamless end-to-end coordination of container shipments. You’ll help manage risk, optimise shipment margins, and ensure our client continues to deliver best-in-class container logistics solutions. This is a dynamic role that requires a forward-thinking, organised, and detail-driven professional who thrives under pressure and enjoys problem-solving on a global scale.

About the role:

Planning and coordinating container shipments from source to destination, in line with commercial agreements.
Acting as a key liaison between internal teams, external logistics providers, inspection agencies, and customers.
Handling container claims with shipping lines and cargo insurers when required.
Producing timely and accurate forecasting and planning information for all stakeholders.
Supporting integration and optimisation of SAP within the container operations function.
Proactively identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve service levels, and drive operational efficiency.
Contributing to departmental KPIs and collaborating on wider logistics projects.
