Job summary

Dunwall is seeking a Logistics Co-ordinator to join an established freight forwarding and international shipping team in Glasgow. You will coordinate international shipments from booking to final delivery, liaising with customers, suppliers, carriers and overseas partners.

The role includes handling shipping documentation, supporting customs clearance and monitoring shipment timelines. Ideal candidates have hands-on logistics experience and strong communication, organisation and ownership.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, transport, shipping or logistics.
• Experience coordinating movement of goods and shipments.
• Good knowledge of import/export processes and freight documentation.
• Understanding of customs clearance and international shipping.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage own workload and take ownership.
• Proficient IT skills, including MS Office and freight-forwarding systems.

Location : Glasgow

Salary : £30,000- £32,00

Hours : Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Dunwall Partners are working on behalf of our client, an established business within the freight forwarding and international shipping sector, who are looking to appoint a Logistics Co-ordinator to join their experienced Operations team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in freight forwarding, transport, shipping, customs or the movement of goods who enjoys taking ownership, working with customers and keeping shipments moving from booking through to final delivery.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for coordinating international shipments and ensuring everything runs smoothly, accurately and on schedule.

Your responsibilities will include:

About You

We’re looking for someone with practical experience within freight forwarding, transport, shipping, customs or a similar logistics environment.

Your background could include freight forwarding or international logistics, but we are also interested in candidates from related industries where you have experience coordinating the movement of goods and working with customs and documentation.

For example, experience within the whisky, drinks, food & beverage or wider export industry could provide highly transferable skills.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in freight forwarding, transport, shipping, customs or logistics
• Experience coordinating the movement of goods
• Good knowledge of import/export processes and freight documentation
• An understanding of customs clearance and international shipping
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• The ability to manage your own workload and take ownership
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ideally experience using a freight-forwarding system
