The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Controller to join a fast-paced, growing organisation within the credit hire industry. The role involves coordinating the movement of a mixed fleet of over 800 vehicles, including prestige, commercial, and mainstream models. You'll be part of a supportive team working to deliver efficient service and excellent customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Sales Team to arrange delivery and collection of vehicles, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Communicate with clients to confirm logistics details in a friendly and professional manner
- Coordinate with regional hubs to optimise fleet use and driver allocation
- Manage day-to-day vehicle movements, maintaining accurate records and generating necessary paperwork
- Handle vehicle-related issues including damage reports, servicing, and de-fleeting
- Review returned documentation to ensure compliance and quality standards are met
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong knowledge and interest in vehicles
- Good geographical awareness of the UK
- Calm, confident communicator with a customer-first attitude
- Excellent PC skills and comfortable with using logistics systems (training provided)
- Organised, motivated, and detail-oriented under pressure
- Adaptable with a 'can-do' approach and strong team spirit
- Experience in automotive environments (e.g., bodyshop, dealership) is desirable
- Skilled in Excel and general administration
- Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
