Job description

NES Fircroft is supporting one of their O&G clients in Great Yarmouth with a Logistics Co-ordinator role.

This is a permanent position with a major focus on shipping logistics. We are seeking an individual with extensive knowledge in import/export and dangerous goods.

Key responsibilities:

• Creation of despatch notes for equipment dispatched
• Preparation of import commercial invoices and clearance instructions
• Preparation of export commercial invoices, despatch notes, and cargo summary tickets
• Liaising with freight forwarders for quotations and efficient shipping of subsea equipment worldwide
• Obtaining export and import entries to complete logistical files for audit compliance
• Providing logistical guidance to onsite parties and identifying shipping methods
• Coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate import/export control and compliance
• Communicating with global colleagues regarding shipments and documentation
• Managing and hyperlinking all import, export, and domestic documentation for record keeping
• Checking and validating freight invoices
• Assisting with internal import/export audits as needed
• Participating in the out-of-hours rota
• Creating purchase orders to facilitate freight invoicing

Requirements:

• Knowledge of export license controls
• Understanding of import regimes (e.g., IPR, RGR, Duty Paid)
• Knowledge of shipping practices and handling methods
• Understanding of Customs Procedure Codes
• Knowledge of classification of goods
• Experience with Dangerous Goods IATA & IMDG
