Job description

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to work for a company based in Felixstowe.

Salary & Terms

• Salary between £35,000 - £40,000 a year depending on experience
• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  
  

Role & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to customer requirements.
• Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate transportation and distribution activities.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Analyze transportation routes and optimize logistics processes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, including delays, damages, or shortages.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and transportation activities using logistics management software.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the transportation or distribution industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
