We are looking to recruit aLogistics Assistant on a permanent basis to join our Supply Chain team based at our East Grinstead site.
The Role
You will be reporting to the TR Fastenings Customer Logistics Team Leader, your role will be to be responsible for maintaining the organisation of the warehouse station and ensure the delivery of a cost-effective service for both internal and external customers.
Key Tasks
- Receive daily shipments from our National Distribution Centre.
- The accurate decanting of stock from cartons into returnable plastic “Kanban” bins.
- Checking delivery paperwork against deliveries and reporting any discrepancies.
- Dispose of waste, mainly cardboard, and keep the designated area within the facility tidy.
- Follow all TR fastenings and Onsite HSE guidelines while on site.
- The timely and accurate communication of the shout sheet
The Candidate
We are seeking a service-driven individual with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, both verbal and written. While experience in sales, expediting, logistics, or supply chain management, as well as knowledge of fastenings and procurement, would be advantageous, they are not essential as full training will be provided. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is required, and experience with Dynamic 365 (D365) would be beneficial, though training will also be given.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlines. Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise multiple tasks, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. Building and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external customers is a key part of this role.
