Job summary

SAFRAN UK is recruiting a Logistics Apprentice in Burnley for a 2-year fixed-term contract, completing the Level 3 International Freight Forwarding Specialist Apprenticeship (18 months). You will learn to coordinate worldwide product movement, manage documentation, and work with customs, shipping, and supply chain systems.

You will gain practical experience with SAP and freight forwarding knowledge while supporting critical logistics activities within a world-leading aerospace organisation.

Qualifications

• A good standard of written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• A positive, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import/export shipments and documentation.
• Check customs entries and maintain logistics records.
• Raise export paperwork: invoices, packing lists, shipping docs.
• Assist with transport bookings for routine, ad-hoc and express deliveries.
• Process deliveries and inter-company shipments using SAP.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve shipment queries.
• Create and maintain stock requirement reports and logistics data.
• Assist with invoice reconciliation, purchase requisitions and goods receipt activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics.
