Job summary

Calor Gas Limited is seeking a Logistics Agent for our Saxham site near Bury St Edmunds. This full-time, permanent role focuses on upholding site safety, maintaining accurate inventory and financial controls, and assisting in transport planning through effective customer master data management.

You will handle customer orders via SAP and Salesforce, support drivers with loading sheets and manifests, and perform stock checks and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Support site management in achieving compliance, inventory, financial, health and safety, and transport.
• Contribute to a safety-first operation and drive incident-free workplace.
• Proactively manage Health & Safety through daily walkabouts, observations, and timely action.
• Place orders on system for delivery/collection using SAP.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls for customer orders and information via Salesforce.
• Receipt stock in/out and perform physical stock counts; enter counts in system.
• Raise and receipt Purchase orders and maintain stock levels.
• Review daily aborts, cancels, and fill returns.
• Support drivers in daily runs, loading sheets, and manifests.
• Track drivers via Telematics system.
• Maintain general housekeeping.

Location: Bury St Edmunds Saxham

Salary: £26,228 (Per Annum)

Hours: 5 days per week (covering Monday-Friday)

Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent

Join our dynamic team and take a proactive role in upholding site safety standards, maintaining meticulous inventory and financial controls, and assisting in transport planning through effective customer master data management. This customer-focused position demands exceptional customer service skills across various communication platforms.

We are looking to recruit a Customer Service driven Logistics Agent for our site in Saxham.

Responsibilities:

• Support site management in achieving compliance obligations, inventory, financial, health and safety, and transport.
• Contribute to a safety-first operation and drive towards an incident free workplace.
• Proactive approach to Health & Safety Management by undertaking site daily walkabouts, identifying Safety Observations, Near Misses and ensuring any actions raised are dealt with in timely fashion.
• Place orders on system for delivery/collection using SAP.
• Take Inbound/outbound calls for customer orders, queries, and general information, utilizing Salesforce programme.
• Receipt stock in/out received in barrels.
• Inventory stock control, complete physical stock counts and be able to enter stock counts onto system.
• Raise and receipt Purchase orders and ensure correct stock levels are maintained.
• Review daily aborts, cancels, and fill returns.
• Support drivers in reviewing daily runs, printing loading sheets and manifests.
• Track our drivers through Telematics system.
• General housekeeping.

• An experienced Customer Service/Driven professional with a positive attitude.
• An administrator with excellent organisational skills.
• Able to work well in a team supporting colleagues and sharing best practice.
• Committed and flexible to meet business demands.
• Able to take Personal Ownership of tasks, especially safety.
• Experienced in Microsoft office, Salesforce, SAP and Tru Tac.
• Articulate with good attention to detail.
