Job summary

Wilson James is recruiting for a Logistics Operative at the Hinkley Point C site in Somerset. This permanent, site-based role offers a 40.25-hour week with a shift pattern of 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off (Days 06:00 - 18:00).

The position includes a bus allowance, free Park & Ride, and comprehensive benefits. You will support with signage installation, waste management, stock control, and contractor coordination while upholding HPC safety and conduct standards.

Qualifications

• CITB Operative H&S test required before start.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to understand Safe Systems of Work.
• Ability to think quickly in unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a good work ethic and routine.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as aLogistics Operativein our Building Management Services (BMS) Team at Hinkley Point C.

Working within dedicated teams, as a construction Logistics Operative you will be supporting with a variety of tasks including the following:

• Installing way finding and emergency signage.

Essential:

• A CITB Operative H&S test (to be completed before the start date).
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to understand Safe Systems of work.
• To demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in unsafe conditions.
• To maintain a good work ethic and routine.
• To be able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:

• Experience of working within the construction Industry.
• Knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical Tooling and consumables.
• Understanding logistics limitations and regulation.

Site Specific Information:

• You must be able to provide a 3-year work history and required vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
• You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.
• The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
