Job summary

Brasenose College in Oxford is seeking a Lodge Receptionist (Porter) for 25 hours per week on a permanent, part-time basis. The role sits in the Lodge department and requires delivering a professional welcome to guests 365 days a year.

The post holder will manage the Lodge daily operations, handle enquiries, assist visitors, and support security, safety and general administration in a busy college environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• IT literate – able to use Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, friendly and professional welcome to the College.
• Handle telephone calls on the main switchboard and direct enquiries appropriately.
• Keep the Lodge area clean, tidy and well-presented at all times.
• Assist with post, parcels and luggage and help visitors as required.
• Support the Lodge Management Team with escalation of issues and handovers across shifts.
