Job summary

Tripod Partners is seeking a Team Manager for the Assessment & Intervention Team in Torbay. Location is Torbay; role is full-time locum with a pay rate of £45 per hour plus a £150 accommodation allowance.

The Team Manager will lead social workers, oversee statutory assessments and safeguarding processes, and collaborate with senior management and partners to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with leadership experience
• Experience supervising social workers
• Ability to lead frontline teams and manage risk

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and supervision to a team of social workers
• Oversee statutory assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection, and care proceedings
• Ensure high-quality practice, timely decision-making, and risk management
• Support staff development through regular supervision and performance management
• Quality assure assessments, plans, and court reports
• Work closely with senior management and partner agencies
• Drive service improvement and positive outcomes for children and families
