Job summary

Tripod Partners advertises a Team Manager – Child in Need role based in Torbay. The post offers £45 per hour plus a £150 accommodation allowance, and is a full-time locum opportunity for an experienced social work manager in the children’s services sector.

The successful candidate will lead a team of qualified social workers, oversee CIN cases, ensure safeguarding and statutory duties are met, and work with partner agencies to drive positive outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with CIN experience preferred.
• Experience providing professional leadership to social work teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide professional leadership to a team of qualified social workers.
• Oversee Children in Need cases, ensuring high-quality assessments, planning and interventions.
• Ensure statutory duties and safeguarding responsibilities are met in line with relevant legislation and guidance.
• Provide supervision, support and professional development to social workers.
• Monitor casework quality, performance and outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
• Promote a child-centred, strengths-based approach to social work practice.
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
