Locum Senior Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Part time – Remote – Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella)

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a well-established Local Authority who are seeking an experienced Locum Senior Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join the team on an interim basis.

The Role:

• Position: Senior Commercial Contracts Lawyer
• Working Arrangement: Part time, 15-20 hours per week
• Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
• Duration: Initial 3+ months with the possibility for extension
• Location: Remote working

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and advise on a variety of contracts for services, goods, and works, with matters varying in complexity
• Provide advice and support to junior staff members within the team
• Advise on grant agreements and procurement law
• Provide legal support on local authority governance matters, ensuring compliance with the Council’s constitutional requirements for contracts
• Assist with broader commercial legal matters as required

About You:

• Experienced Senior Commercial Contracts Lawyer
• Public Sector/Local Government knowledge is essential
• Ability to provide support and guidance to junior staff members
