Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust seeks a Respiratory Consultant to lead clinical governance, oversee teaching and supervision, and participate in department audits. You will work with colleagues across the Trust to maintain high standards of patient care.

The role requires GMC registration, MRCP, and a recognised GMC Specialist Register status in G(I)M and respiratory medicine, with experience in respiratory care and a commitment to professional development.

Competenze

MB BS (or equivalent).
Registered with GMC.
MRCP or equivalent.
Broad experience of respiratory medicine.
On GMC Specialist Register for G(I)M and respiratory medicine through award of CCT or Portfolio pathway or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR).
Successful completion of Specialty Certificate Examination in Respiratory Medicine.
Desirable criteria include distinctions, scholarships, other degrees (BSc, MSc, MD, PhD), or a sub-specialist interest.

Mansioni

Provide high standard of care to patients under your clinical responsibility, including on-call coverage and care by your team.
Participate in clinical and service activities to ensure high patient care standards across the Trust.
Collaborate with medical, professional and managerial colleagues to deliver high quality care and contribute to strategic direction.
Lead clinical governance in the specialty and attend governance half-days as required.
Participate in departmental audits and coordinate audit activities.
