Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join King’s Mill and Newark Hospital services. The post involves in-patient, out-patient and on-call duties with sub-specialist clinics for lung cancer, ILD, COPD and sleep-related disorders, supported by a full MDT and dedicated respiratory team.

• Demonstrated ability in medical education and supervision.
• Experience with research and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Evidence of teaching and training junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
• Lead respiratory outpatient clinics at King’s Mill and Newark Hospitals; participate in bronchoscopy, sleep studies and oxygen services.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary team discussions and service development.
• Attend and teach junior staff; participate in research activities.
