Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse for a GP practice in Malmesbury. The role focuses on chronic disease reviews, wound care, and routine nursing clinics within a structured primary care environment.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventative health work, and treatment room activity, supported by well-organised workflows and nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system.
