The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is inviting applications for a full-time Ophthalmologist (10 PA) based primarily at the Eye Centre, Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield, with services across Dewsbury and Pontefract sites.

The post involves General Ophthalmology with subspecialty interests in Paediatrics and Adult Motility, outpatient clinics and day surgery, plus on-call duties and possible inter-site travel.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with licence to practise.
• Medical degree from recognised medical school.
• FRCOphth / FRCS or equivalent.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Wide experience in management of paediatric and adult motility patients.

Responsabilités

• Provide General Ophthalmology with subspecialty in Paediatrics and Adult Motility.
• Deliver outpatient clinics and day case surgery.
• Manage workload including FACE-TO-FACE and VIRTUAL clinics; theatre activity for cataract cases.
• On-call duties including out-of-hours; 1:8.5 rota with 0.8 PA assessment.
