Job summary

Globe Locums is seeking a Biomedical Scientist for a Blood Sciences role in Stornoway. The position covers routine bench work using automated analysers such as Roche Cobas, Beckman DxH 800 and Sysmex CA 660, along with manual techniques.

1 year post graduate experience and HCPC registration are required. Benefits include accommodation at £25 for 14 days, then £18 nightly thereafter, and one-return journey/flight paid if you stay in the role more than 2 months.

Biomedical Scientist Job Description

• Speciality -Multidisciplinary
• Location -Stornoway
• Start date -ASAP
• Contract Length -Ongoing
• Pay Rate -£32-£38 per hour via Umbrella Company
• Band 6
• Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30, potential for some weekend cover Saturday 08:30-12:30 Sunday 09:00-12:30.
• Day to day working in Blood Sciences covering all routine bench work. Work includes using both automated (Roche Cobas, Beckman DxH 800, Sysmex CA 660) and manual techniques.
• Maintaining communications with other departments and Laboratory Manager.
• Stock maintenance and ordering
• Accommodation is available for £25 for 14 days per night, then £18 per night thereafter.
• The client will pay for a one return journey/flight if the Locum stays in the position for more than 2 months.
