Job summary

Globe Locums is seeking a Biomedical Scientist for a Blood Sciences role in Stornoway. The position covers routine bench work using automated analysers such as Roche Cobas, Beckman DxH 800 and Sysmex CA 660, along with manual techniques.

1 year post graduate experience and HCPC registration are required. Benefits include accommodation at £25 for 14 days, then £18 nightly thereafter, and one-return journey/flight paid if you stay in the role more than 2 months.

Qualifications

• 1 year post graduate experience.
• DBS or Police Check.
• Fully compliant and cleared to work.

Responsibilities

• Day to day work in Blood Sciences covering routine bench work.
• Work using automated and manual techniques.
• Maintain communications with other departments and Laboratory Manager.
• Stock maintenance and ordering.
