Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Band 6 Locum Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology to join our client’s laboratory in Falkirk, Scotland. This full-time ongoing post requires core hours and offers an hourly rate of £28–£29, with start date ASAP.

You will perform full blood counts, coagulation studies and blood film morphology, ensure quality control, and collaborate with clinical teams. NHS experience preferred; HCPC registration and a biomedical science degree are required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Experience in Haematology within a clinical laboratory.
• Experience with Sysmex XN and Stago.
• Experience with blood film morphology.
• NHS experience preferred.

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology to join our client’s team in Falkirk, Scotland. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

You will perform full blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood film morphology. You will ensure accurate analysis, maintain quality control, and collaborate with clinical teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• HCPC registration
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Experience in Haematology within a clinical laboratory
• Experience with Sysmex XN and Stago and blood film morphology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• NHS experience (preferred)
