Midlothian Council is recruiting a Locum MERRIT Care Support Worker to visit clients in their own homes across Midlothian, delivering high-quality, person-centred support. The role requires SVQ2 in Social Care with progression toward SVQ3, PVG Scheme membership, and a full clean driving license for driving an allocated van.

The salary starts at £17.33 per hour with variable hours negotiated. Experience with safeguarding and complex needs is desirable and support will be provided for registration

Qualifikationen

• Must have SVQ2 in Social Care and work toward SVQ3.
• PVG Scheme membership is required or will be required.
• SSSC registration is essential.

Aufgaben

• Provide personal care to individuals in their own homes.
• Assist with meal preparation and medication support.
• Promote independence and dignity.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Communicate with families, supervisors and health professionals.
• Follow safeguarding, infection control and health and safety procedures.
• Drive allocated van and maintain vehicle/equipment.
