Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Guildford. You will assist with routine clinical duties, patient flow and treatment room activities.

This ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions role requires a proactive HCA with DBS, strong communication and basic IT skills; phlebotomy experience is desirable.

Morning and afternoon sessions are available, with potential for long-term block bookings.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
