Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Godalming. The role involves assisting with routine clinical duties, patient assessments, and day-to-day treatment room activity within a structured primary care setting.

You will help manage patient flow, support core clinical duties, and contribute to high-quality care delivery. DBS checks and NHS/primary care experience are valued; strong communication and IT literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS
• Phlebotomy experience desirable
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations
• Good communication and patient interaction skills
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
