Job summary

Locum Ready seeks a proactive Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in West Byfleet. You will help manage patient flow, assist with routine clinical duties and maintain accurate records, contributing to high-quality care delivery.

The role involves clinical observations, phlebotomy where trained, ECGs, and lifestyle advice. Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions with morning/afternoon slots are available while DBS is Enhanced.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
