Locum Ready in Romford is seeking a Locum Health Care Assistant to support a GP practice. The role involves clinical observations, phlebotomy, ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments in a busy primary care setting.

You will work in an organised team, manage patient flow and contribute to high-quality care. Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions with morning or afternoon slots are available, suitable for long-term block bookings.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsabilités

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
