Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Erith. You will assist clinicians with observations, routine treatments and patient flow, helping maintain a smooth day in the clinic.

Ideal candidates have prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS, with DBS clearance and basic IT skills for clinical systems. Phlebotomy is desirable and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
