Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to work with a GP practice in Market Rasen. The role supports the clinical team with routine duties, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity.

The ideal candidate will have prior HCA experience in primary care, be comfortable with clinical observations, phlebotomy (where trained), ECGs and updating patient records. Enhanced DBS is required, and sessions can be ad-hoc or regular across mornings and afternoons.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
