Job description

We are looking for a maternity locum GP to join our friendly and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. 15 minute appointments – mainly face to face, with some near me and telephone consulting with admin time built into the template.
2. Strong team ethos, with daily huddle meeting to facilitate good communication and discuss patients and issues.
3. Half day duty doctor sessions.
4. Supportive nursing team, including 3 ANPs who see acute presentations including children.
5. Experienced admin team who navigate patients to most appropriate clinician within the multi-disciplinary team, at first telephone contact.
6. Admin team manage workflow documentation to reduce GP workload.
7. Practice employed Pharmacist assists with medication reviews and queries.
8. Attached staff include First Point of Contact Physio, Mental Health Triage Nurse, Pharmacy team, Well-being Practitioners, Dieticians, Midwives and District Nursing Team based in the practice.
9. Centrally located, modern, custom built premises in Fife to service the needs of our 9,000 patients.
10. Monthly clinical meetings and weekly Thursday journal club.

Start date: March 2025 until early 2026.
