Job summary

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust in Scunthorpe is seeking a senior clinician to join our Endoscopy service. The post involves a diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy service for patients and contributing to education and audit.

You will work in a collaborative, non-hierarchical setting, providing evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary team and developing special interests aligned with the directorate needs and our strategy.

Responsibilities

• Providing a diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy service for patients.

• Conducting appropriate duties in cases of emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
• Development of special interests that fit in with the directorate needs and the strategic direction of the Trust.

Job description

As a senior employee of the Trust the post holder will work in close co-operation with, and support, other clinical, medical, professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Trust's Patients.

Integral to the responsibilities of the post are the following requirements:

• To ensure the provision of a high standard clinical service.
• To undertake all work in accordance to the Trust's procedures and operating policies.
• To conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trust's operational group service plans., The post would suit a good team player dedicated to high quality patient care.

The opportunity exists to work in a non-hierarchical setting and offer a wide range of procedures in this busy DGH. The duties outlined below are not definitive but cover the main duties of the post and may be changed in accordance with the needs of the service. Duties include:
