Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a Consultant Histopathologist to join our Cellular Pathology team in SE Wales. You will contribute to reporting GI and skin backlogs and may report other specialties as needed, within a fully UKAS ISO15189 accredited lab.

You will be GMC registered with a Licence to Practice and ideally on the Specialist Register or on CESR/European rights. The role offers a supportive environment and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• You will already be fully registered with the GMC and hold a Licence to Practice.
• Candidates for Consultant posts must be on the GMC Specialist Register or working towards Specialist Registration via CESR/European Community Rights.
• FRCPath qualification is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Report the GI and skin backlogs with the ability to report other specialties if needed.
• Work within a team to deliver a clinical and laboratory Cellular Pathology service to a population of about 650,000.
