Job summary

Pulse Healthcare seeks a Consultant Histopathologist for a District General Hospital in South Wales. The role involves diagnosing and studying disease in tissues and organs, and collaborating with a team of pathologists, clinicians and scientists to ensure high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have GMC registration, be on the Specialist Register in Histopathology or eligible within six months, and hold FRCPath Parts 1 and 2. 10 PAs with flexibility for part-time applicants.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and licence to practise; specialist register in Histopathology or eligible within six months.
• UK-trained applicants must hold CCT or be within six months of award by the date of interview
• FRCPath (Part 1 and Part 2)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and study disease in tissues and organs.
• Examine tissue samples and detect changes that explain patient illness.
• Collaborate with doctors, scientists and healthcare staff to manage patient care.
