Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work at a GP practice in Tonypandy. You will conduct autonomous clinical assessments, make safe decisions and manage patient care within a structured primary care environment.

You will join an established multidisciplinary team, run your own clinics and support both urgent and routine patient demand with flexible sessions up to four days per week, including morning and afternoon clinics.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification at Level 7 or postgraduate level.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300) preferred.
• Recent experience in primary, urgent care or UTC settings.

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.
