Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support a GP practice in Ormskirk. The role offers autonomous clinic sessions with full support from a multidisciplinary team, ideal for flexible, sessional work in a well‑organised primary care environment.

You will assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence‑based care and contribute to high‑quality clinical outcomes in a structured workflow with clear expectations.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate).
• V300 Independent Prescribing.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk‑in settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely.
• Familiarity with EMIS / SystmOne / Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
• Completing long‑term condition reviews where required
• Telephone triage and clinical decision‑making
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence‑based care, and contribute to high‑quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.
