Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join a GP practice in Stockport. The role offers autonomous clinical work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, delivering evidence-based care with efficient, well-structured workflows. The position features up to 4 days per week of flexible sessions, with morning and afternoon clinics

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate).
• V300 Independent Prescribing.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely.
• Familiarity with common primary care systems (EMIS / SystmOne / Vision).
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.
